How Rohingya became Refugee

In the year 2017, the world witnessed a huge and terrible humanitarian crisis where Myanmar became guilty and Bangladesh became victim. Basically Myanmar is a Buddhist inhabited country where Rohingya’s were a Muslim minority. Myanmar government started a series of violent attack on the Muslim minority people from the year 2016. Myanmar military and the local Buddhist militia killed around 24 thousands Rohingyas. Moreover, around 18 thousands women and girls were raped by them. On 25 th August, 2017 thousands of Rohingya fled from Myanmar due to terrorist attack on them by Myanmar government. From then Bangladesh is hosting the world’s largest refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

Struggles of Rohingya Refugees

When Rohingyas came to Bangladesh they did not have enough food, clothing and other essential items with them. The camps were overcrowded and nasty. As Bangladesh herself is a developing country with her own overpopulation, that time Rohingya refugees became a crisis for the country. Situation got worse on 22th March, 2021; when a huge fire swept through the Rohingya camps. Almost 20 thousands Rohingya among the total of 1.2 million have died in that disastrous incident. Their camps have burnt and they became helpless in the shortage of food, shelter and medical care.

Our Role to Support Rohingya Refugees

We have reached the Rohingya camp to fulfil their needs in the critical situation. We have provided emergency foods, clothes and medical care to the burnt people as long as we could. Our team had worked as fire fighters at that crisis period. Moreover, we have provided regular food and tube well facilities for the Rohingya community.

We need Emergency Support from You

Rohingya, a deprived Muslim community is passing through amid humanitarian situation for a long period of time. They are unprotected from basic facilities as well as extreme natural conditions. In this situation, we need emergency help from you to help a part of our ummah as much as we can. Help us with your Islamic help so that we can provide more food programmes, repair the shelter and provide clean water facilities, proper sanitization system and many more they actually need.
